In memory of the legendary "Ruhestein mountain race" 1946, the first German motorsport event after World War II, the legend lives on 76 years later with the Baiersbronn Classic. This year marks the tenth edition of the Baiersbronn Classic, which has now become a staple in the international rally calendar. At the "Black Forest Rally for Connoisseurs," around 120 classic cars from the pre-war era to the 1970s can be admired.
The trilogy of the impressive landscape in the national park region, the enjoyment of exquisite delicacies at the culinary checkpoints, and the sporting challenge along the routes gives the Baiersbronn Classic its unique character. The heart and both the sporting and historical highlight of the rally is the eight-kilometer hill climb on the winding original route of the 1946 "Ruhestein mountain race" from Obertal to Ruhestein. Alongside the cars, about 60 motorcycles from the pre-war years up to the 1975 model year will also be at the start again this year.
