On
5 October 2025, the Staufen Trade Association invites you to the next open Sunday under the motto "Fabulous Staufen". The shops will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and visitors will share the pavement of the historic old town with fantastic figures who are out and about in a variety of ways.
The Pappagalli proudly and confidently show off their beautiful plumage and of course, like all parrots, they are also a little flirtatious, cheeky and sometimes really quick-tempered when they are annoyed.
Nellie the hippopotamus is as earthy as the Papagalli. Sometimes good-natured, sometimes curious, sometimes gruff and cranky and sometimes incredibly defiant, the colossus is a constant challenge for the petite but ultimately assertive animal carer Alki.
The Colors are completely different, graceful creatures in beautiful costumes of lush colours. When the stilt walkers move, their costumes dance with them and a sea of colour swirls and waves spectacularly through the astonished crowd.
