There are many stalls, from fresh vegetables, olives and antipasti to meat, mushrooms and cheese, there is something for everyone.
For over 10 years now, a weekly market has been held every Friday on the Sulzburg market square, offering a wide range of regional products. Take Mrs Meier from Eichstetten, for example, who has been selling fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs and farmhouse bread since day one. Back then, her stall was just 2 metres tall, today her range fills a display area of over 10 metres.
The stand of the Riestererhof farm in Münstertal, which offers meat and sausage products from its own production every week, has also been there for over three years.
Italian specialities and olives are offered by Shannon Eisele, who sources his products directly from Sicily, Turin and northern Italy. Some items are also produced in-house. The antipasti stand also has a Mediterranean flavour. Under the name "Sulzburg Mediterran", the stand brings a wide range of delicious Mediterranean delicacies to the weekly market.
In keeping with this, Pilzhof Rein from Breisach-Gündlingen will be supplying organic mushrooms from its own production. If you've always wanted to try an organic shiitake or lime mushroom from Baden, this is the place for you. A cheese for all occasions from France (Magolsheim) also provides you with high-quality cheeses that are not industrially produced.
Sigi's Vesperhüsli invites you to enjoy and linger. It offers coffee specialities and cool drinks as well as small snacks, which can also be enjoyed on site. And with a bit of luck, you will also meet Mrs Rostek, who offers fair trade products from all over the world at her world shop stall.
The Sulzburg weekly market takes place every Friday on the market square from 09:00 to 12:30.
