From the Black Forest region of Belchen, the tour takes a short detour through the Wutach Gorge, past the source of the Aach and Engen to Lake Constance and then to the Rhine Falls in Schaffhausen.
We start our tour in Schönau in the Black Forest region of Belchen. From here we follow the B317 road up the valley to the 1200 metre high Feldberg Pass. A short descent follows down from the Feldberg to Bärental. Here we continue straight ahead and follow the B317 towards Donaueschingen. The road meanders above the southern shore of Titisee in the direction of the B31. Around two kilometres before the slip road onto the B31, we turn right towards Lenzkirch. After a short detour through the Wutach gorge, we pass Bonndorf and head towards the Aach springs. These are located in Aach between the Black Forest and Lake Constance and are one of the largest springs in Germany, offering a lot in terms of tourism and geology. The route now continues in an easterly direction towards Tengen, Stockach and onwards towards Lake Constance. We finally reach it at Bodmann on Lake Überlingen, where we take a lunch break. After our stopover, we continue in the direction of Radolfzell before following the signs along the western shore of Lake Constance towards Stein am Rhein (CH). The town on the High Rhine attracts visitors with its magnificent house facades on the town hall square. The route now continues towards the largest waterfall in Europe - the Rhine Falls in Neuhausen (CH), which knows how to impress with its masses of water. A few kilometres after Schaffhausen, we cross the German-Swiss border at Stühlingen and continue towards the Black Forest Highlands. Via Bonndorf and Häusern we head towards St. Blasien, where it is worth making a detour to the third largest cathedral in Europe. From St. Blasien, we finally set off on the last few kilometres towards Bernau, Präg and Geschwend before turning left into the Black Forest region of Belchen and reaching the starting point of the tour in Schönau.
