The youth church was renovated by young people within three days and designed for today's meetings around devotions, special services and as a meeting place for young people.

The former chapel of the former Illenau diaconal centre is now municipal property and is given to the Protestant church for use. The so-called "youth church" is located on the edge of Illenau near the arterial road to Sasbachwalden. The youth church was renovated by young people over the course of three days and designed as a meeting place for devotions, special church services and as a meeting place for young people. On 26 November 2010, the Illenau Youth Church was inaugurated during a church service.
