The Achkarrer Schlossberg is one of the best vineyard sites in the entire Kaiserstuhl, characterised by its geology and warm climate. Wines of the highest quality thrive here. Discover the wine trails in the beautiful volcanic hilltop landscape as well as dry stone walls, terraced vineyards, emerald lizards and bee-eaters. The remains of the proud Höhingen Castle can be found on the summit of the Schlossberg.

A little tip: On the way back, it's worth visiting the Kaiserstuhl Wine Museum. Opening times: Palm Sunday to All Saints' Day, Tue-Fri 14.00-17.00, Sat-Sun 11.00-17.00.
