This demanding mountain bike route around Dobel combines challenging climbs with varied landscapes and magnificent panoramic views. From Dobel, the route first leads eastwards to the cozy Schwabhauser Hut, an ideal place for a short break. It then continues to the distinctive Dreimarkstein before heading towards the edge of Dobel again. Afterwards, you enter the source area of the Dobelbach and follow the path downhill along the idyllic edge of the Dobel valley. Through the district of Bleiche, you reach the center of Bad Herrenalb, where the historic atmosphere blends with lively spa town flair. From there, the route climbs steadily below the Maienberg via the lower Maienberg path and the Ächtlersweg. In the quiet forests above the Bad Herrenalb ski home, you finally reach the Weithäusle. Along the sun-drenched western slopes of the upper Eyach valley, you return via the Stollenweg and the Sommerhalde Hut to Dobel.

A detour to the Old Water Tower of Dobel is worthwhile before or after the bike ride. From here, the view extends over the Black Forest peaks to the Vosges.

The marking does not imply any duty of traffic supervision for the path owners, the affected municipalities, forestry administrations, and the Black Forest Middle/North Nature Park. Cyclists must expect forest-typical hazards and are personally responsible for accidents and falls resulting from them. Vehicle traffic and temporary route closures, for example due to forestry operations or hunting activities, must always be expected. Warning signs from forestry administrations, hunting operations, or other warnings must be strictly observed.

Courses for beginners are available from March to October, as well as advanced courses for experienced mountain bikers, women-only courses, and from 2020 also for children from 7 years old. Additionally, irregular courses and courses on request are available at the MTB-Club Karlsruhe.
