The first alpine pasture in the northern Black Forest Due to the absolutely idyllic location on a small plateau above the Glatttal valley, around 1½ km outside the suburb of Glatten-Neuneck, it was the perfect opportunity for us to gradually develop the Erste Alm im Nordschwarzwald from the former Ziegelackerhof. In view of the planned scope and our constantly evolving ideas of what else could come out of it in the coming years, this development will probably continue for quite some time.
With the idea of the Alm, we wanted to create an ideal place for holidaymakers and nature lovers to relax due to the unique location of the farm, but also to provide a direct marketing opportunity for our agricultural products.
We see it as our task to offer our guests real peace and quiet and to produce first-class, home-grown, honest organic products in a typical Alpine way.
In this wonderful place, it is still possible to create a connection with nature and the animals, to let your soul dangle deeply and intimately. All of this on a small, exclusive scale in an almost familiar setting, without being overrun by crowds of people. Where else can you find that?
Our ambitious goal is to ultimately only offer products that are made here. Without buying in and without trade, but with a clear conscience that there is nothing in our organic products that doesn't belong there. Honest, natural and healthy food that is typical of the Alps. Admittedly, it will take some time before we achieve this. But with every sub-project we tackle in the near future, we are getting a little closer to this goal.
We created the basic prerequisites for producing healthy food right from the start and converted our farm to organic farming. Since July 2016, we have been producing with the coveted organic status, meaning that the goods we produce are marketed as organic products.
