The varied route leads along a section of the Dobel Europe-wide circular hiking trail and on the Engelweg, with a small detour, to the rest and grill area at Dreimarkstein.
In the first section, there is interesting information about the respective countries on the benches painted in the national colors.
The effort of climbing to the observation platform of the Dobel lookout tower is rewarded with a magnificent view. Those who wish can get comprehensive information about Dobel and its surroundings.
The path goes through a forest section and then across the Mannenbach Heath. At the so-called Engetürle, you leave the Europe-wide circular hiking trail and slip through the metal door there towards Waldengel and Volzemer Stones. Shortly before the grill and rest area at Dreimarkstein, the state road must be crossed. Particular caution is required here.

From the starting point "Sonnentor" at the Kurhaus Dobel, the route leads about 300 m on the Europe-wide circular hiking trail to the "France Bench".
With a turn, we go back about 50 m and turn onto the straight path (about 250 m) towards the observation tower.
From there, we use a section (about 500 m) of the Westweg Pforzheim-Basel through the forest.
At the Great Britain Bench, our route branches off at a sharp angle towards the east. We are on the Europe-wide circular hiking trail and reach the edge of the forest after about 400 m.
From there, we continue hiking on the Europe-wide circular hiking trail through the Mannenbach Heath (about 800 m).
From the "Jägerbrunnen" parking lot, we have to walk about 200 m on the connecting road Dobel-Eyachmühle before crossing a small forest section again (about 500 m) on the Europe-wide circular hiking trail.
At the "Engetürle" we turn right towards Volzemer Stones and reach a fork with 2 variants after about 400 m near Waldengel.
Variant 1:
On the path leading downwards to the right (Horntannebeneweg*) we reach a spot after about 250 m, from which we head east to the Little Volzemer Stones (about 100 m). At the western (left) edge of the stones, a small path leads up towards the Large Volzemer Stones (about 300 m).
Variant 2:
One goes straight ahead and thus stays on the Engelweg/Westweg until the Large Volzemer Stones. The path is about 500 m long and passes several angel images.
From the Large Volzemer Stones it is about 1.4 km on the Westweg (Hüttwaldweg*) to the Dreimarkstein and the nearby grill and rest area.
At the state road, which must be crossed with great caution, there is also the bus stop from which Dobel town center can be easily reached.

Increased caution is advised when crossing state road 340 at Dreimarkstein (bus stop).
No fire may be lit at the grill area during extended dry periods and strong winds.
