Description
Baiersbronn, a municipality characterised by tourism, offers a breathtaking view of the entire Ellbach valley and Ellbachsee lake from this viewing platform. Walkers, hikers, wheelchair users, cyclists and tour groups like to pause and linger here to take in the vastness of this landscape.
Design
The aim of the design was to create a viewing platform from regional materials without jeopardising the existing trees. The path to the barrier-free viewing platform branches off from a forest footpath and winds its way through the trees to open up a wide view over the Ellbach valley. The narrow access to the platform widens towards the valley and the outer railings of the parapet are slightly inclined outwards, which reinforces the impression of an opening. Seating invites visitors to linger in front of a fantastic view.
Material and construction
The viewing platform is made of regional, weather-resistant Douglas fir wood.
