*Attention: lift out of service from November to March due to weather conditions*
This is not just a classic observation tower, as there are already many in Germany.
Various car parks can be chosen as the starting point, such as P1 Kurhaus, P2 observation tower or P3 high-altitude car park.
The "Himmelsglück" can be reached and climbed barrier-free. A panoramic lift enables a comfortable journey to the top and back down again. This means that people with disabilities can also enjoy the magnificent panoramic experience, which, on a clear day, extends over the Black Forest in the east, as far as the Swabian Alb with Hohenzollern Castle or the Stuttgart television tower, while the Upper Rhine Graben and the Vosges mountains can be seen in the distance in the west. However, highlights in the immediate vicinity such as the treetop walk and the Wildline on the Sommerberg in Bad Wildbad or the Hohloturm on the Kaltenbronn are also visible.
Other highlights are the two "forest flight" options for getting back down again: either you can take the Blackforest Flyline for a leisurely 500m descent through the forest or, for those who really fancy an adrenaline rush, there is the Blackforest Flying Fox, which will send you hurtling headfirst for almost 600m down into the spa gardens.
An additional nature experience is offered by the new barrier-free Augenblickrunde trail, which joins the circle of other Augenblicke trails in the Central/North Black Forest Nature Park. In addition to various adventure stations along the path, the well-known Augenblick will be located at a height of 50 metres on the top platform of the tower.
