The Black Forest holiday region in the upper Renchtal valley, where the Rench, Bästenbächle and Freiersbach rushing through narrow valleys, where the densely wooded mountains of the northern Black Forest come close together, is both pristine and idyllic. Bad Peterstal-Griesbach is located directly on the Rench and in the middle of the Black Forest National Park region at an altitude of 400 metres. Surrounded by mountains that rise up to 900 metres. The area gains its tranquillity from the extensive meadows with many orchard trees, which are still tended by the farmers with a lot of manual labour.
If you want to enjoy the beauty of the upper Renchtal valley such as waterfalls, meadow valleys, impressive rock formations and rushing streams, the Black Forest Hiking Symphony with the four premium trails "Teufelskanzelsteig", "Wiesensteig", "Schwarzwaldsteig" and "Himmelssteig" offers a special hiking experience. All five circular trails are between 7 and 13 kilometres long and ideal for a day trip. The"Panoramawegle", the premium walking trail, is also excellent. The paths are mostly close to nature and the landscape is varied. Wonderful resting places, sky loungers, snack huts, schnapps and mineral water fountains on local farms tempt you to take a break.
