Badischer Weinradweg - Etappe 3: Breisgau

From Riegel, the wine cycle path leads through the Breisgau wine region to Gengenbach in the Kinzig valley. Passing the Lichteneck ruins, the route continues through gentle vineyards, cosy villages and charming towns characterised by town houses, half-timbered buildings and magnificent town halls. Near the baroque town of Ettenheim, it is worth making a detour to the Heubergturm tower, which offers a fantastic panoramic view. Cyclists continue past the castle in Schmieheim, which is home to a brewery, and Lahr, which is particularly vibrant during the Chrysanthema festival in autumn, before the stage ends in the pretty town of Gengenbach.
