Visit the Maier family farm.
The farm is home to cows, calves and, of course, cats. 160 cows produce fresh milk every day, which is processed into milk and ice cream in the farm's own dairy. The rest of the milk is collected by the Schwarzwaldmilch dairy and processed into yoghurt, butter and many other products.
On the subject of milk: Milk is an important staple food. Fresh milk contains many vitamins and nutrients. Calcium in particular is important for children. Milk consists mainly of water, but it also contains fat, protein and lactose. 1/2 litre of milk covers 54% of a young person's daily requirement.
A farm tour with the Maier family lasts 1 - 3 hours, depending on your wishes, and costs €50.
