The last stage starts in the climatic health resort of Todtmoos in the Wehratal valley. You leave the town and follow the forest path that winds uphill to the Freiwald chapel. The pass connects the Upper Wehratal with the Murg Valley. For the next few kilometres, you gravel through the species-rich moorland of the "Oberer Hotzenwald" FFH area. If you like, you can take a detour of a few metres to the Schwarzenbächle waterfall. After another 5 kilometres, you leave the fascinating landscape of wild raised bogs and fens, where another short detour to the Gugelturm tower, including a panoramic view and snack bar, awaits you. The route then continues past the Sankt Wendelin chapel and the Klausenhof open-air museum to the Hornberg basin, the upper reservoir of the Wehr pumped storage power station, which you will reach shortly. The route now takes you gently downhill along the Dinkelberg towards the Rhine. Before you reach the Rhine, however, what is probably the last ascent of the "Naturparke Gravel Crossing" to the mountain lake above Bad Säckingen awaits you. After a short break by the lake, the route takes you downhill to the old town centre of Bad Säckingen, which is known for the longest covered wooden bridge in Europe. This is where the actual Black Forest Bike Crossing ends. For the last 35 kilometres, you follow the EuroVelo15 parallel to the Rhine to Basel (Badischer Bahnhof).
