Bötzingen

With more than 5,320 inhabitants, the municipality is located at the southern Baden triangle of the cities of Freiburg, Emmendingen and Breisach. Bötzingen can be reached quickly via the A5 motorway exit Freiburg-Mitte (Umkirch) or Teningen.

From Freiburg, Bötzingen is the gateway to the Kaiserstuhl Nature Park, probably the warmest and sunniest area in the whole of Germany. The highest point in the district is the Eichelspitze at 520 metres. Bötzingen is centrally located in the border triangle of Germany, France and Switzerland.
