Visitors are led on a panoramic route that tells and brings to life the eventful and exciting history of the Black Forest Railway in the most interesting section of the line through vivid examples.
In a playful way, you learn about the efforts required to bore the railway line through hard granite. Anecdotes and stories report on life along the railway line and open the view behind the scenes. Through authentic inventory, the path is also a special experience for railway enthusiasts.
The Black Forest Railway Experience Trail is divided into two routes, which can also be directly connected. Both routes start and end at Triberg station. Additionally, the paths can be reached via the hiking trails from Hornberg and St. Georgen. Along the way, there are various rest stops that focus on the themes of the Black Forest Railway.

We hike on the "upper Black Forest railway experience trail" starting at the station in Triberg. From here, the route continues towards Schonachbach to the world's largest cuckoo clock - Am Bach - Gummambs - Gaisloch - Feißesberg and back to the starting point and also the destination at Triberg station.
