Up to the year 1998, the country House Ettenbühl was a private garden where its owner had dedicated to her beloved hobby to preserve and grow historical roses. Today you find 16 themed gardens in this landscape garden of five hectares presenting a wonderful park and garden area, each of them having - just like in a home - its own function and character. You can discover many things, find some inspirations, spend some time there and enjoy. Walk on the grass - even barefoot if you like - explicitly allowed! Thanks to a lively exchange with rose-growers, experts and botanic gardens throughout the world, Ettenbühl has not only an extraordinarily varied offer of historic roses but also an impressive collection of rare shrubs such as a magnolia from the “Forbidden Gardens” in Beijing, a redwood alley and much more.
