Wegmarkierung
This almost 16-kilometer hike starting at the village square of Neuweiler could evoke ecstatic states! Mysterious and enchanted forests from which ivy-covered tree trunks rise as if competing to stretch; giant trees clawing their mighty roots into the moss-covered forest floor. The protagonist of the path, the "Doinich", as the small stream Teinach is called here, contributes to this magical atmosphere. Right at the beginning, in the nature-protected source area, one meets its origin. Here it babbles cheerfully sometimes on the right and sometimes on the left side of the path, where grasses and ferns dance gracefully to the rhythm of the wind. Occasionally, it feels as if one might encounter a mystical mythical creature at any moment.

A visit to the SonneMondSterne Tavern at the start/end point of the hike perfectly rounds off the hiking day.
Wegbeschreibung
In the hiking and wellness region Teinachtal, a wide range of certified hiking trails awaits to be discovered and cherished. On a scale from easy to very challenging, everyone who loves unspoiled nature will find exactly what fits their mood at the moment. The circular route "Doinich Ursprung / Neuweiler" is one of the more demanding routes, where nature and activity go hand in hand.
From the starting point, the village square at Neuweiler town hall, follow the path towards the forest edge, passing along expansive meadows reflecting the sparkling sun rays and offering views over the pretty little village. But watch out! A small path leads directly into the quaint-looking forest, where you hike over roots and stones and then encounter the charming protagonist of the path. Above the nature reserve "Falchenwiesen", the hiker reaches the source and spring area of the Teinach. The small stream, called "Doinich" in the local dialect, babbles cheerfully sometimes on the right and sometimes on the left side of the path. What a wonderful day to immerse yourself in this fabulous scenery!
On one of the cozy wooden benches near the hamlet of Breitenberg, you can take a short enjoyment break to admire the magnificent panoramic view. If you want to save your own provisions in your backpack a bit longer, you have the opportunity here to refresh yourself with a detour to the local gastronomy businesses. But even if you would like to linger longer here, it's time to prepare for the next stage. A stage with goosebump character. On the steep section from the Berghalde down towards the old Black Forest farm, the Lautenbachhof, the whole beauty of the Northern Black Forest unfolds: long trunks rise as if competing to stretch higher, and their leaves rustle high up in the tree crowns. Giant trees dig their mighty roots into the moss-covered forest ground, grasses and ferns dance gracefully to the rhythm of the wind. Following the course of the Teinach, enchanted forest paths lead over open meadows with their typical Black Forest farms, like the historic Dachshof and the Glasmühle, to the idyllic Weikenmühle located by the stream. Since the Middle Ages, the water of the Teinach has powered the sawmill that still exists today. The sun glints behind the huge Black Forest firs as if to illuminate the picturesque valley in particularly warm light. In the further course, somewhat wider forest roads repeatedly merge into narrow paths framed by the untouched magic of the forest. The "Doinich" is a reliable companion whose calm babbling provides new energy time and again.
An equally wonderful and discovery-rich section follows on the way back towards Neuweiler: natural paths lead past strong, ivy-covered tree trunks through dense dark green vegetation and steadily along the small stream. Down here, it feels as if you could encounter a mysterious mythical creature any moment... Leaving the magic of this wonderful setting, you are almost back at the starting point. But wait – there was something else! Even if the younger ones are surely more than exhausted after this nearly 17-kilometer hike – at the sight of the newly created adventure playground Mühlwiesen, which you pass on the way, unexpected strength is released at the end. Whether flying on the Tarzan rope, sliding, climbing, or rocking: by now, all the hardships of the route are forgotten. And those who have carried grilled sausage & Co. in their backpack for the whole route will finally be rewarded. With a crunchy snack from the grill, you can most beautifully review the day.

The path is demanding; good and sturdy footwear is therefore strongly recommended.
