Design
The shape of the new village house is modelled on traditional farmhouses. All areas are housed under one roof in a clear form. In addition to two multi-purpose rooms on the ground and upper floors, the village hall also includes a gymnasium, which also serves as a banqueting hall for events.
Material / construction
The building is designed as a hybrid construction (wood and concrete). As a regional and ecological building material, wood is also used consistently in the façade design and in the interior.
Sustainability / energy concept
A photovoltaic system will cover the building's own electricity consumption and supply additional neighbouring buildings such as the local history museum and a new day care centre with electricity.
In addition, a central heating system forms the centrepiece of a heating network (local heating network) between the existing museum of local history and the new day care centre.
Bottom line
The construction of the new village hall, which can be used for a variety of purposes, will create a new village centre. The clear, modern but restrained architectural language is based on the shape and cubature of the surrounding area (traditional farms). Despite its large volume, the building appears light and the opaque surfaces make it open and inviting.
