The museum building houses a guild room and an exhibition about the Bräunlingen carnival. The collection includes the historical figures of the Stadthansel, Urhexen, Stadtwehr and Stadtbock as well as the Waldmann and his Kräuterweibel, who are presented in costume, mask and with the help of extensive picture and text material.

The exhibition also provides information about the carnival process, the history of the carnival guild and the over 100-year-old tradition of the impromptu play, which is performed in Bräunlingen on the Monday of carnival. Attached to the collection of figures is a costume room with around 12,000 costume pieces, providing a rich treasure trove for the actors.
