From Staufen, the southern Breisgau can be excellently explored by bike. The fields are broken up by impressive fruit trees. We follow the Rhine for a stretch on the Leinpfad directly by the water's edge.

Take binoculars! Many waterbirds gather at the Rhine.

Wegbeschreibung

From Staufen train station, follow the signs to Bad Krozingen. Then continue along the railway to Tunsel and via Bremgarten to the Rhine. The Leinpfad is gravelled but easily passable with any type of bike. On the way back, there is sometimes a somewhat soft forest path along the gravel pits north of Grezhausen. After that, follow the Möhlin to Hausen and then via small side roads to Ehrenkirchen. From here, it is only 4 km to the start and finish point.

Sicherheitshinweise

Pay close attention to the route in Bad Krozingen - the underpass of the B 31 near Hausen requires some care.
