The raft bridge in Hörden is a pedestrian and cycle bridge and connects the two Gaggenau districts of Ottenau and Hörden. The wooden truss construction is almost 60 metres long and, with its roof, offers pedestrians and cyclists protection in all weathers. Visually, the footbridge over the Murg blends into the landscape and is part of the Murg Valley's extensive network of cycle paths. The term "raftsmen" is a reminder of the historical tradition of the district, which owes its former prosperity to the timber industry. The rafting culture still characterises the townscape today.
