The trail is varied, leading sometimes through mossy, sometimes through sparse fir forests, along forest edges and across meadow paths. The views often sweep over secluded farms and the idyllic Harmersbach and Hinterhambach valleys.
On the premium hiking trail and Black Forest gourmet trail, the most beautiful views are adorned with lovingly designed benches and resting places with a rooster-and-hen look. From here, you can enjoy the Black Forest cultural landscape at its finest: over the centuries, farmers have created a tranquil mosaic of fields, meadows, pastures and orchards. In the centre of it all are their stately farms, surrounded by the wooded hilltops of the Harmersbach and Hinterhambach valleys.
Connoisseurs will appreciate the tranquillity of nature as much as the rustic atmosphere in the snack bars. Highlights include the views from the plateaus over the mountain worlds of the central Black Forest to the Alsatian Vosges mountains.
