The Geroldsecker Quality Trail was established in 2013 by the town of Lahr and the municipality of Seelbach in cooperation with the Black Forest associations of Seelbach, Reichenbach and Lahr. It was certified in January 2014 in accordance with the "Wanderbares Deutschland" guidelines of the German Hiking Association. It is easiest to hike in two sections of approx. 20 kilometres each. It leads from the valley towns of Lahr-Reichenbach, Seelbach or Wittelbach to the heights of the central Black Forest, passing two castle ruins with beautiful views. There are two historic hammer mills along the way and it leads through the newly established "National Natural Heritage" conservation area on the Langenhard.
