Geroldsecker Qualitätsweg

The Geroldsecker quality trail can be started in Lahr-Reichenbach, Seelbach or Wittelbach. For example, the trail leads from Reichenbach over the Eichberg to the Hohengeroldseck castle ruins with a beautiful panoramic view. After the descent to the Schönberg pass, the route leads along quiet sections of the path to the ruins of Lützelhardt Castle. After the descent, the trail leads towards Seelbach and along the edge of the forest via the Tretenhof farm above the floodplain to Wittelbach. In the village, the trail crosses the Schuttertal valley. Through the quiet Wolfersbach valley, the trail climbs over the Wolfersbacher-Wand to the Grassert and then back down into the Litschental. The old Geroldsecker armoury is located here. A quiet path leads uphill again to the Hasenberg and from here along the high-level path to the Langenhard with its beautiful views. The Langenhard was handed over to the NABU Federal Foundation as a "National Natural Heritage Site" in January 2012. The areas have a high nature conservation value as they are home to rare animal and plant species. The route descends via a hunter's path to Seelbach and back to Reichenbach on the Lahr-Rottweil crossroads. At the entrance to the village, the Reichenbach Hammerschmiede forge is located very close to the hiking trail.
