Look, marvel and experiment
A forest walk with an 'aha' effect awaits young visitors to Oberharmersbach in particular. The nature theme trail is around 2 kilometres long and offers a playful and entertaining search for traces of nature along the Oberharmersbach Katzenhalde.
At over 20 stations, junior nature explorers discover the world of spruce and moss together with 'Hademar Waldwichtel'. Meanwhile, the older companions enjoy surprising views of the unique natural landscape of the Central/North Black Forest Nature Park!
Forest phone instead of mobile phone, hydropower instead of electricity
Mobile phones in the forest? Not really - here you use a tree phone. You can find out how this works on the trail. And you can also find out what a stream is good for: instead of hammering, people used to utilise the power of water. You can try this out for yourself at the hammer mill. Over 20 stations are waiting to be discovered and played with.
Hademar diploma
You can answer 11 quiz questions along the way. You can download the quiz here . Once you have answered the questions, enter the solution word on the website of the Central/North Black Forest Nature Park. As a reward, you will immediately receive a personalised Hademar diploma in PDF format with the name of the naturalist to print out.
Environmental education

"Hademar im Wichtelwald" - The children's book about the nature theme trail
Christine Störr, author from Hofstetten, wrote a children's book - inspired by the nature theme trail in Oberharmersbach - about the little gnome Hademar, who experiences many an adventure with his family and friends at the Katzenhalde in Oberharmersbach.
Stefanie Kempf, an artist from Oberharmersbach, provided the drawings to match the book and thus created the loving illustrations for the children's book "Hademar im Wichtelwald".
