The small valley circuit is a route from the Nagoldtal valley with a gentle ascent on low-traffic roads via Berneck to the Schwarzwaldhöhe near Hofstett. From here, the cycle tour leads down to the small Enz valley and Bad Wildbad-Calmbach on paved forest paths. The route continues to Pforzheim and from there back along the Nagoldtal cycle path.
On the small valley circuit, cyclists pass through highlights such as the gold town of Pforzheim, the spa town of Bad Liebenzell with its large spa gardens, Hirsau Abbey, the Hermann Hesse town of Calw, the shepherd town of Wildberg and, of course, the vibrant town of Nagold with its castle ruins.
The route is mainly on tarmac cycle paths, but also partly on gravelled forest paths.
