The fairytale trail is located on the Sommerberg right next to the treetop walk tower. The gravelled route of 3.2 kilometres can be used with suitable pushchairs and wheelchairs. The circular route takes about 1 hour. "Glasmännleinpfade" paths branch off at three points, which are visible from the main path but are unpaved and not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs.
At 9 of the 10 stations, the radio play "The Cold Heart" based on Wilhelm Hauff tells the story of the boy Peter Munk's struggle for happiness. He is accompanied by the little glass man, the good forest spirit, who grants him three wishes, and the Dutchman Michel - a huge, broad-shouldered chap who wants to steal Peter's heart. You will also learn lots of interesting facts about various topics.
The WILDLINE suspension bridge is also located on the fairytale trail. However, it is not compulsory to cross the WILDLINE to walk the fairytale trail.
