Maisacher Turmsteig

The 14-kilometre Maisacher Turmsteig quality hiking trail runs around the Maisach Valley in Oppenau. The challenging trail leads over the Maisach ridge and past the Buchkopf tower, which was opened in 2015 and offers magnificent views of Oppenau, the Black Forest heights, the Rhine Valley and the Vosges mountains opposite. You can enjoy an original Black Forest snack and regional specialities in the rustic "Renchtalhütte" along the way. There are also schnapps fountains along the way.

Alpine feelings arise here in some places, where sure-footedness and sturdy footwear are also required.

You will find signs for the Turmsteig at forks in the path. Between individual locations, please follow the yellow diamond or the signs for the Turmsteig.
