The museum of the city of Nagold has been housed in the "Stone House", probably the oldest house in the city, since 1989. It sees itself as a place of examination of the history and present of Nagold and the region.
The special feature: The museum in the "Stone House" does not show a permanent exhibition. Instead, a film provides information about the most important events and developments in the city's history. Individual aspects of local history are explored in depth in themed exhibitions. Temporary exhibitions on art and cultural history round off the offer. For this new and exemplary concept, the Nagold museum received a 1st prize in the competition "The exemplary local history museum". The 300 square meter exhibition area of the museum is therefore constantly changing. The changing exhibitions - about six per year - promise an interesting program. It is worth visiting the museum several times a year.
