You start in Muggenbrunn, where the first ascent awaits you right at the beginning of today's stage: past the Lailehöhe (1134 m) and the Hasbacher Höhe (1149 m) to the Knöpflesbrunnen alpine inn. From there, the route leads back down into the valley to Schlechtnau. The next steep climb to the Hasenhorn awaits you here, but don't worry - the route doesn't go all the way up to the summit. Instead, you continue to the Gisibodenalm mountain inn, where you can treat yourself to a break with a view of the Belchen at the halfway point of today's stage. You then cycle past the Bernauer Kreuz to the Rote Felsen. Here you have the Prägbachtal valley and the Blößling with its 1310 m directly in front of you. After a short descent, the route zig-zags over energy-sapping serpentines to the highest point of today's stage. Shortly before the summit, you leave the path and cycle approx. 8 kilometres over the Hohe Zinken to the Hochkopf. There you have the opportunity to take a short detour to the small but special viewing tower at the summit of the Hochkopf. The route then takes you past the Waldhotel Auerhahn "Hochkopfhaus" to the last 100 metres of the day. Once you have completed this, you roll the final 5 kilometres into the upper Wehratal valley to the climatic health resort of Todtmoos, where today's stage of the "Naturparke-Gravel-Crossing" ends.
