Oberkircher Brennersteig

The Brennersteig invites you on a scenic and culinary journey of discovery past various distilleries in the Renchtal valley. The Oberkirch distillery trail is particularly recommended during the flowering season.

Many high-quality brandies are distilled from the delicious fruits of the region, including cherry brandy, plum and mirabelle plum brandy, raspberry brandy, Williams and Jerusalem artichoke. Around 796 distilleries are registered in Oberkirch alone - making Oberkirch the distilling capital of Europe.

Numerous distilleries along the way invite you to sample their products - there are many places to stop for refreshments along the route. Distilleries can be visited on request - including product tasting.

A detour to the Renchtalblick can be included in the Brennersteig via a zigzag path from above the Fießhof.
