The Möhlin springs in the Bollschweil district St. Ulrich. On this route, you circle the upper Möhlin valley and visit real cultural highlights such as the Kohlerhof above Ehrenstetten or the community of Horben as a viewing balcony above Freiburg. Both the path surface and the gradient make this route suitable for trekking bikes and mountain bikes. The ascent takes place largely in shaded forest. From the Eduardhöhe onwards, then on a meadow ridge with magnificent views of Horben. After the descent into the Hexental, the return is on the so-called Bettlerpfad.

Wegbeschreibung
We leave Ehrenstetten heading east and cycle up to the Schützenhaus. From there, we take a wide forest road into the Ehrenstetter Grund, a long stretched forest valley. After about three kilometers, the Feimlisburgweg branches off to the left, a freshly prepared forest road that takes us to the Kohlerhof. From there, initially ascending via the Heuweg to the St. Ulricher Kaltwasser and to the Eduardhöhe. Here follow the signs for Horben and rush down on a narrow asphalt road (caution, some unclear curves!). Don't miss the turnoff "Katzentalweg" - then past the Ringlihof to behind the retention basin at the valley outlet. There turn left, overcome a short ascent, and roll to the Stöckenmühle. From here to Biezighofen on partly paved field paths with some ascents. In Biezighofen we keep west towards Schönberg and reach the Bettlerpfad, which leads us via Sölden to Bollschweil. At the lime plant, we leave it to overcome a slight ascent in the cut between Ölberg and Urberg, rolling back through the vineyards to Ehrenstetten.
Ausrüstung
MTB or trekking bike - with good brakes!
Sicherheitshinweise
The descents down into the Katzental are steep and unclear - be careful!
Behind the Kohlerhof the path surface is briefly coarse gravel - and that on a rather steep climb - possibly push your bike.
