An "Alt-Waldeck" castle is said to have stood in Hohenegg, and the field name "Burstel" (castle stable) is still a reminder of this today.
Raich won a gold medal from the federal government in the "Our village should become more beautiful" competition. Every two years, the large "Customs Festival" on the Hörnle shows how people used to work and celebrate in their homes, farms and fields.
