Römermuseum "Villa urbana", Johanniterstraße 89, 79423 Heitersheim

In Roman times, the site of today's Roman park was the manorial residence of a lord of the manor, a so-called "villa urbana". Today's Roman Museum was built on the site of the main Roman residence.

The bright, modern building of the museum reveals many traces of the former home. Among other things, you can see an 18-metre-long ornamental water basin with a fountain figure, parts of a mosaic floor and colourful window glass. Objects of everyday use are also on display. This gives you a comprehensive insight into the rural life of the Roman upper class. An exciting journey of discovery into Roman times can begin!
