On a walk with a visit to the red deer enclosure in Schweinbachtal, you can observe these animals, which are among the largest game species in our homeland, and find out how their gigantic antlers develop. A particular highlight every year is watching the young animals romping around the enclosure full of joy. Feeding is also always an experience. This takes place daily between 1 and 2 pm.
You can visit the wildlife enclosure at any time of year!
Information boards
Detailed information about the red deer family can be found on the two display boards by the feeding hut. The antler development of a Hirsau stag is vividly documented by a series of pictures taken every 30 days.
Daily feeding
The daily feeding takes place between around 13:00 and 14:00.
Freshly collected chestnuts or acorns in autumn are a tasty treat for the red deer. They can be placed in the container in front of the feeding house.
A natural water source provides the animals with sufficient water.
Outdoor nature lessons
Outdoor nature lessons can be organised for school classes and kindergarten groups by arrangement with the game reserve supervisors.
