The local mountain Hochkopf with its 1263 metres of altitude allows a clear view of the Alpine panorama in good weather. It offers hikers, Nordic walkers and mountain bikers various routes such as the Todtmooser Lebküchlerweg premium hiking trail in varying degrees of difficulty and is surrounded by blossoming valleys, wild gorges and gentle ridges that will make you forget your everyday stress.
Winter sports enthusiasts can also go cross-country skiing or snowshoeing around the Hochkopf. With up to 60cm of snow on average and beautifully situated cross-country ski trails, Todtmoos offers ideal conditions, especially for families.
Culinary specialities can be found in the Todtmoos gingerbread, which used to be used as "pilgrim bread", as well as in various seminars and courses, such as the bacon seminar, the cherry cake baking course or the herb hike. A variety of restaurants and cafés complement the offer with regional specialities in home-style cooking. Among other things, the Badische Rehschäufele is served here or something typically Baden is conjured up from local ingredients in upmarket restaurants.
Culturally, the baroque pilgrimage church "Unserer lieben Frau" is an absolute highlight, not only among pilgrims.
