The Tschamber Cave is located directly on the banks of the Rhine in the Karsau-Riedmatt district of Rheinfeld. It is one of the rare active stream caves and only one of three public shell limestone caves in Germany.

Around 1600 metres of cave passages have been explored to date. Over 500 metres of these are accessible to visitors. The naturally formed stream cave offers fascinating access to the interior of a karst landscape. Follow in the footsteps of the underground stream through wide and narrow passages, wide halls and high gorges, along striking wall and ceiling shapes. A special highlight awaits you at the end of the cave: a waterfall up to 5 metres high.

The entrance: young stalactites

The experience: an underground stream
