The unique landscape is an incentive for us to preserve and nurture it and to reflect the character of the soil and the people in our wines. Loess and volcanic rock create a wonderful symbiosis that is not only home to a diverse range of species, but also forms the ideal basis for all grape varieties in the Burgundy family.
With a great deal of passion, manual labour and commitment, we try to promote the character of each individual parcel anew every year and reflect it in the grapes, so that you too can taste a piece of Kaiserstuhl in your glass.
Our vines grow not only in fertile loess soils or mineralised volcanic rock, but also in a unique flora and fauna. The Kirchberg in Schelingen is one of the most valuable vineyards in Europe. It is home to bee-eaters, emerald lizards, orchids and wild bees. Our vineyards are a paradise for wine connoisseurs and nature lovers alike.
