The Wolfsgrube circular tour runs along the slopes of the Teinach, idyllically through deciduous and coniferous forests with beautiful views. It takes its name from the round walled wolf pit, which used to be covered with brushwood and used as a pitfall. Today, you can discover the namesakes around the pit. Enchanted paths lead hikers to the fairy meadow, where the sky swing invites them to linger and dream. You hike back to the starting point via the mighty Beilfelsen rock, made of red sandstone, past the Erbenwald campsite.
Autorentipp
After the steep ascent to the Beilfelsen, don't forget to make a detour to the viewpoint. There is a bench for you to enjoy.
Wegbeschreibung
The start is at the parking lot between Liebelsberg cemetery and the water tower. The portal sign points the way. Past the water reservoir, the narrow meadow path leads us directly to the first vantage point. We enjoy the view towards Liebelsberg and Oberhaugstett. We then follow the Genießerpfad signs and walk across meadows and field paths to the edge of the forest. We follow the path along there and turn right onto a small path into the forest. The path leads to a small viewing platform with a view of the Teinach valley. Once we have mastered the first ascent, we find a memorial stone at the edge of the path. Continuing through rustic forests and winding paths, we reach the fairy meadow. The sky swing invites us to linger and dream. After resting, we continue to the viewpoint, which offers a wonderful view of Zavelstein Castle and the Teinach Valley. The path leads us along a feather-soft path to the Wolfsgrube. Here you can discover the namesake around the round-walled pit. Passing the refuge, we tackle the ascent to the Beilfelsen rock. The mighty red sandstone rock rises majestically above the Teinach valley. Once at the top, we are rewarded with a fantastic view over the mountain ranges of the northern Black Forest. Now the path takes us gently upwards and we enjoy the peace and quiet that the forest offers us. Passing the Erbenwald campsite, we walk back to the starting point.
Ausrüstung
