A varied circular route with little difference in altitude from the Ittersbach industrial area to the Langensteinbach clinic, the ruins of St Barbara's chapel and past Hermannsee lake back to the starting point. A tranquil hike in Karlsbad with beautiful views and a bit of history. The total length is approx. 10 km with a difference in altitude of approx. 100 metres.

Tour signs

The hike begins at the forest car park near the industrial area of Karlsbad-Ittersbach. The route then leads through the Auerbach valley past ancient sequoia trees to Langensteinbach. Past the Langensteinbach hospital, the route then passes the outdoor pool to the ruins of St Barbara's chapel. The route then leads through the forest to the Spielberg forest car park and the start of the Karlovy Vary cultural trail. The route continues along the cultural trail to Hamberg with its barbecue area and Hermannsee lake. You return to the starting point of this leisurely hike via the former railway embankment and the Karlovy Vary nature trail. There are always wonderful views and interesting points to discover on this tour.
