Once on the top platform, visitors are treated to an impressive view over the entire garden, across to the Black Forest and, on the French side of the Rhine, as far as the Vosges mountains. Buildings in the distance can be easily recognised by their distinctive shape: the European Parliament and, of course, Strasbourg Cathedral.
Extra tip: If you love romantic sunsets, you should climb the 210 steps of the Silver Fir Tower in the evening. But (amateur) photographers will also be rewarded by the climb. The reflection of the wooden structure in the water of the Altrhein creates impressive moments - so you can also capture beautiful shots of the tower from the ground.
