It was created around 12,000 years ago.
No trees have been felled in the preserved forest surrounding it since 1911. The former ban area covers 75 hectares. After more than 100 years of free development, this forest today gives an impression of the wilderness that prevailed here before man colonised and began to change the Black Forest.
From Wildseeblick you have a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding landscape.
The Euting grave is located in the immediate vicinity of the lake. Julius Euting was a patron of the Black Forest Association. In his honour, his birthday is celebrated there every year with a cup of mocha.
