Hella-Glück" visitor mine
Silver and copper ore was mined in the visitor mine from the beginning of the 13th century until its heyday in the 14th century. In 1969, citizens interested in mining came together to form the "Stollengemeinschaft der historischen Bergwerke Neubulach" (Neubulach Historic Mines Community) in order to reopen the Hella-Glück gallery in over 7,000 hours of work and thus save it from decay.
According to plans and surveys, around 20 kilometres of tunnels and mining routes are known to exist, which lead under the town of Neubulach.
The Hella-Glück tunnel in the mine has been open to visitors again since 1970.
The Hella-Glück tunnel is excellently equipped for visitors, illuminated and easy to walk on level paths for young and old.
As you explore over 400 metres of tunnels, you will learn a lot about the old and arduous working world of a medieval mine.
