Description
The municipality is located in the district of Wittenschwand. The town hall and integrated fire station were built in 1997.
The tourist information centre, a public Internet-PC and restrooms are located in the ground floor (accessible during opening hours).
The town hall courtyard serves as venue for the annual Advent and Christmas market as well as for public brass concerts of the Ibach-Wittenschwand Music Club. During carnival season, you can also watch the longstanding tradition of erecting the “Narrenbaum”, when a tree, decorated with carnival symbols, is planted in the middle of the village.
In the “Sparkassenhäusle”, a little savings bank booth on the Rathausplatz, you find an international cash dispenser with a 24 hour operation.
Next to the town hall, the Dachsberg youth has created a Beach Volleyball field. Guests are invited to play here, too.
From the car park at the town hall, you can embark on wonderful hiking tours in the Northern Dachsberg area. It’s also the starting point of the mining trail.
