The highest peak in Markgräflerland. The 1165 metre high Blauen with its viewing tower is the highest peak in Markgräflerland and one of the highest mountains in the southern Black Forest.

The view over the wooded slopes, the southern Black Forest, the Upper Rhine plain and, with a bit of luck, the Swiss Alps is simply marvellous. Here, grandiose expanses with a distant view over three countries are combined with absolute tranquillity. Walks and hikes on a well-marked network of paths provide relaxation in the health-promoting low mountain climate. The Hochblauen mountain hotel is also situated in this exposed location.
