Forbach - Murggarten

The "Murggarten" is located on the banks of the River Murg in the centre of Forbach - a wonderful water playground for the whole family. The people of Forbach have created a water playground in the former spa gardens. Water plays a major role in Forbach.

Drinking water comes from the springs in the surrounding mountains, the Schwarzenbach dam stores water for power generation and countless springs feed the streams that flow through the meadow valleys. So it is only natural that the people of Forbach also offer children a water playground.
A small stream with water play equipment meanders from the Hörnerich, along the playground, to the Murg.

The Murggarten is a suitable destination for excursions by school classes or kindergartens.
A staircase leads from the Murggarten down to the Murg. There, from spring to autumn, you can often watch young people hurtling down the rapids in a rafting boat and paddling to the bridge.
