Finds from Roman times, the remains of a settlement in a vanished village called Nothausen, medieval memorial crosses and their legends, an old school whose plans go back to the famous Karlsruhe master builder Weinbrenner, a parsonage from the Baroque period, wayside crosses and wayside shrines that tell their own stories, a stately farmhouse that is over three hundred years old and now houses a local history museum.... all this can be found on the Haueneberstein circular trail.
Wonderful vantage points with resting places invite you to linger. The route is also suitable for moderately athletic hikers. And if you want, you can also take one or two shortcuts.
