The station building has been the clubhouse of Eisenbahnfreunde Pforzheim e.V. since 1988. It was built in 1874 and has been lovingly renovated in accordance with the preservation order. On the ground floor there is a small museum about railroad history. Several times a year, larger events take place in and around the station, such as the railroad days, the station festival and the book market, but also smaller private or public events. The association renovates and maintains the historic building, builds and operates several model railroads in different gauges and deals with all topics related to railroads. On the railroad days around January 6, all rooms of the station are open to visitors and both the club's own model railroad layouts as well as the guest layouts can be viewed. During the station festival on Ascension Day, a large beer garden is operated in front of the building, which is popular with many day-trippers. The large freight hall and the ticket hall can be used for events. Here, for example, concerts are held during the Advent season, but also the large book market on the 1st Sunday in November.
