The lake route starts at Seebrugg railway station at the end of the south-west shore of Lake Schluchsee. Alternatively, the tour can be started from Hinterzarten or Titisee. Both towns are easily accessible by train.
At the top of the Rinken pass, you can cycle directly to Oberried or Kirchzarten via the southern Black Forest cycle path into the Dreisamtal valley. More than 10 kilometres and approx. 800 metres of downhill enjoyment on a route that is partially closed to car traffic.
Right at the start in Seebrugg, one of the first highlights awaits: the dam wall of the largest Black Forest lake. The route leads over the dam onto the southern shore path, which it follows picturesquely to the Schluchsee district of Aha. The Unterkrummenhof is ideally located for a hearty snack. The Till cheese dairy in Äule is well worth a detour.
On the way to Altglashütten, you pass the secluded Windgfällweiher pond. In Bärental you have the opportunity to visit the schnapps museum at G'scheiten Beck. Following the beautiful valley, you come to the time-honoured Raimartihof inn. For lovers of hearty food, don't miss the Brägele there.
A detour to the idyllic Feldsee lake is highly recommended before continuing to the Rinken pass. Passing Alpersbach, the route leads to Hinterzarten, which is particularly famous for its ski jumping facilities. The Ospelehof cheese dairy at Windeck is well worth a detour.
The route continues past the Hinterzarten sports ground to Titisee, which offers numerous leisure activities. The tour leads along the famous lakeside promenade along the eastern lakeside path to the southernmost point of Lake Titisee. From here, you cycle via Bruderhalde to Bärental.
Passing Altglashütten and the Windgfällweiher pond, you reach Schluchsee again. This time you cycle along the northern shore through the village of Schluchsee. You cycle above the lake, with a view of the romantic Blasiwald forest on the opposite side of the lake, back to Seebrugg.
